With hot dry Summers and mild Winters, the Costa de Almeria undoubtedly has the best climate in mainland Spain.
Roquetas de Mar Weather - Long hot Summers.
The resort is situated on lowland peninsular by the Mediterranean Sea that gives it an extremely favourable year round climate. This provides dry sunny weather for much of the year with minimal rainfall, and the only desert climate in Europe.
For much of the summer season Roquetas de Mar weather may not experience any rain at all and any that does fall is often fairly heavy but in brief spells. Visitors should expect to see temperatures of 30c in high summer and 11 hours of sunshine. Isolated periods of hotter weather can occur and temperatures can reach up to 40c at times. Due to consistent sea breezes the effects of humidity and heat discomfort are relatively low but care should be taken if exploring the countryside inland during high summer.

Roquetas de Mar Weather - Warm Winter temperatures.
With 6 hours of sunshine per day winter weather in Roquetas de Mar should see consistently clear blue skies with a few interruptions for wet or overcast conditions. Temperatures during winter months are among the highest in Europe and offer rewarding sunbathing and water sports with still warm seas and lovely mild temperatures which can reach as high as 20c. Late winter and spring is considered the ideal time to visit with only a very minor chance of rainfall, quiet resorts and beaches and warm days to look forward to.
