Established in 1979, Playa Serena Golf Club has excellent, entirely renovated facilities and a well cared for 18-hole golf course.

Golf Amerimar

Just along the coast from Roquetas de Mar, in the next resort of Amerimar is the 27-hole Golf Almerimar. Opened in 1976, it was designed by Gary Player and Ron Kirby. A beautiful spot due to the lakes and palm trees on the course, it has wide, flat, tree lined fairways and large greens which are well maintained and fast to play on. There are water features at several holes. The 100 metre over the lake shot to reach the par 3 hole 12 is a real challenge. The lush vegetation affords a pleasant oasis-style feel to a round as the palm trees and lakes create spots of spectacular beauty.

Alboran Golf, La Toya, Retemar

This modern Golf course resort was the Official host for the Almería Mediterranean Games in 2005. Alboran was designed by Ramón Espinosa, one of the most prestigious golf architects. The Club has a 6,278-meter long, 18-hole par-72 Championship course, an extensive practice range, and different training areas. The course has excellent greens and fairways, offering an enjoyable game of golf on a challenging course, yet one which is flat and walkable. The club is right by the coast and offers lovely views of the Cabo de Gata National Park. The resort also has a bar, shop and a restaurant.
